Seher Taj is a Seattle-based interdisciplinary artist completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Cornish College of the Arts.
She has exhibited at the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center in New York City, 9th Avenue Gallery in Seattle, and The Behnke Family Gallery in Seattle. Taj works across painting, sculpture, and mixed media, with her practice centering on her inner child as both subject and collaborator. Through this relationship, she explores how preserving childlike wonder can become an act of healing in adulthood. She creates from intertwining perspectives: the sweet gaze of childhood and the tempered awareness shaped by coming of age. Her work shifts between vulnerability and resilience, playing with the strength that exists within softness.
